Full & Partial Dentures in Medina, OH

If you have only a few teeth missing, a partial denture may be a good solution for you. Partials can replace multiple teeth at once. They can have either a metal or plastic framework and clasps that wrap around your remaining teeth. This helps to keep the partial in place.  

Partials come in and out and should be removed every evening before you go to sleep. With a partial, you should be able to chew, but it will never be the same as chewing on your natural teeth or even on something permanent like a bridge or implant.

What if I Don’t Have Any Teeth?

For centuries, it was normal for most adults to not have any teeth and to have a set of dentures made. George Washington even had a set of dentures where the teeth were wooden. A lot has changed since George Washington’s dentures!   

Our modern dentures have acrylic teeth and “gums.” They look like natural teeth. You will be able to chew with your denture, but it is very different than chewing with your own teeth or even a partial.
