Fourth Annual Sinick Family Dental Photo Scholarship is Live Now!

Are you or do you know a senior at Medina High School? Are they interested in photography? Would they like to win a $1,000 scholarship and have their work displayed in our dental office for a year?

If you can answer yes to the questions above please enter your photos and essay for a chance to win a $1,000 from Sinick Family Dental. 

$1,000 Scholarship for a Senior Medina High School Student

The $1,000 scholarship is eligible to any senior Medina High School student. Each student can submit up to five digital photographs that will be considered. The submitted photographs must be taken by the student applying for the scholarship. Five photographs will be selected to be displayed with the submitting student’s name in the office of Sinick Family Dental. In addition to being displayed in the office, photographs may be posted on Sinick Family Dental’s website and/or Facebook page. All submitted photographs should be suitable for display in a dentist office.

The theme for the photographs is “Around Medina.”

The photos should be taken within and represent Medina County. The winner will be selected based on the following rubric. The displayed photographs can remain the property of Sinick Family Dental if they are still on display or will be returned to the student who submitted them after they were replaced by the next year’s submissions.

Students can apply for the scholarship from February 1st through February 24th by using the Medina City Schools Foundation’s central scholarship application. In addition to the MCSF’s central application, students must submit digital images and a minimum 300-word essay following the prompt to for consideration.

Scholarship Selection Process:

  • 40%    Essay
  • 30%    In office Patient Vote
  • 30%     Social Media Vote

Essay Prompt (Minimum 300 words):

What does Medina mean to you? What are your goals in life and how would you plan on using the funds from the scholarship to further those goals?
